Counseling

Welcome to Client First Law.  There are a couple of things worth mentioning at the outset of Client First Law’s introduction to the Internet:

First, this law firm operates from a virtual office.   You might well ask what a virtual office is.  The traditional law practice from a separate physical office with office staff and equipment has evolved into a complete range of tools permitting virtual offices wherever we are located.   Many years of accumulated experience has resulted in greater efficiency, flexibility, and the judgment to limit the scope of our service and offer them at a much lower cost.

Second, the name Client First represents our intention to put the interest of our clients first.   We have had experience with client dissatisfaction from high volume law firms, and, therefore, we “get it” that being treated as an accounts receivable or an assembly line product diminishes rapport and discourages trust.  We, therefore, offer our clients complete accessibility through open communication and feedback.

One of my clients whose testimonial is recorded under that tab herein suggested to me that the rapport and trust that infused our attorney-client relationship may be hard to strike on the Internet because we were referred to her by a mutual good friend who vouched for our skills and integrity based upon years of experiences both on and off the “court.”  Hers is an important question for this website and its potential clients.  The only way you gain trust is to give it.   We invite our clients to share with us their financial and legal problems and business plans, and we, in turn, will share our solutions around the actual experiences we have had in meeting similar problems and issues.

When we were young, we valued the camaraderie with others not unlike ourselves, including physicians, dentists, bankers, salespersons, accountants, policemen, and government workers, and just plain folks.   We asked and answered questions of each other that we all had regarding personal issues impacting our families, often at the “watering holes” to which we gathered to socialize at end of our work day.   On these social occasions we tapped into each others knowledge and experience to help solve problems which were impacting ourselves and our lives.  The vary act of sharing our knowledge and experience opened the door to self discovery and to a dialog which unified our intention.  In the very act of sharing we gained insight.  That’s the process and quality of communication that inspires trust which is our aim.

Client First Law is offering strategic legal and financial counseling over the internet; its principle attorney, Bob Scott is licensed to practice in both North Carolina and Illinois. He has performed legal tasks in practically all the regions of the United States.   His professional and educational background emphasizes strong written and verbal communication.  These skills were acquired through a variety of legal practice experiences, including law firms, government, business, and litigation, teaching and private practice.

We are offering legal counseling across the internet, at a nominal fee of $40 an hour to individuals and $80 to law firms and corporations plus expenses.  The initial consultation is free.  We can also structure a fixed fee arrangement at a mutually agreeable price for the service you require. Pro bono work may be possible for those who qualify and are in need.

Our Services are designed to benefit individuals as well as law firms and corporations.  For individuals we provide the counseling service and diagnostic service required to help solve their problems or accomplish their plans.  For law firms and corporations, we provide the same service at a lower cost than they can provide it for their clients.  In these cases we provide the “intake” function of identifying the client’s needs in preparation for more substantive processing by a law firm or corporation

Over the years we have observed what issues clients are most concerned about, some of which come up unexpectedly.  The issues have been around investments, purchasing property, insurance, bill paying, home ownership, inheritance, old age, physical and mental health, family matters which include marriage and child care, delinquency and criminality and the like.   Our timely legal guidance could provide a blueprint for sound decision making so that these issues can be addressed effectively.    Client First Law offers clients a convenient tool to discuss these issues over the internet and telephone without the necessity of leaving their homes or places of business.   Some issues are more easily addressed and disposed of than others, requiring a minimum of time and effort. Therefore, we charge to the quarter hour. The name of this new web site is Client First Law, a “GPS” for legal/financial counseling issues available over the internet and via telephone.

Read carefully the legal counseling services we are offering and examine the information under the tabs marked “areas of consulting” and “Do I need an attorney”.  Should the need arise you can contact us 24/7.  Just use the contact tab or simply telephone us. Again, welcome to Client First Law.
